It is so fun to help friends capture the special times in their life. We got a lot of cute ones of daughter loving mommy and the tummy. This is such a fun stage to document--the only child welcoming a new baby and becoming big sis for the first time. I can't wait for the newborn shoot! You're beautiful, Tara!

I really love pre-wedding shoots. Prospective couples out there, please let me shoot you!! :) It's such an exciting time of life and it shows in the images. Ok, here are some more of this FUN shoot. There was quite a group of us and we had some adventures getting these shots, including encountering a huge dead rabbit, and getting cozy in an outhouse. Fun times!

For a painting...

I'm working on a special project with my grandpa. I wanted to buy a Christ-centered painting for my home but then I thought it would be neat if my Grandpa George, who does beautiful watercolor work, could paint one for me. I asked him and he said he'd like to do it but has never done it before because he needs a picture to work from and he doesn't want to copy a painting that has already been done. So I said I have the perfect person to photograph for his painting of Christ. My friend Andy, who happens to be a wonderful and kind person, let me take some headshots of him. Here are a few I played with. I wish we had a robe or something, but all my grandpa needs is the face, he can come up with the rest. That will look better! My grandpa is going to paint Christ teaching a group of people which is going to be our whole extended family. So I have a lot of work to do! I can't wait to see the finished product.
